John ONeill:
John ONeill is an established performing musician and instrumental teacher in the jazz field.
Having first taken up the saxophone while a student of Modern Languages at Trinity College, Oxford, he went on to play the flute and clarinet, studying woodwinds with don Rendell and improvisation with Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh and Peter Ind.

Since 1979 John has been a professional freelance musician, and has written music for dance, theatre and film. He is an enthusiastic teacher and has taught both privately and in schools.

As a writer on jazz John has contributed articles to The Sunday Times (London) and Jazz Journal International and has broadcast on BBC local Radio.
